WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) — The 36th Annual Taste of Buffalo is inviting all local artists to enter its 2019 poster art contest.
The festival, presented by Tops, will take over Niagara Square once again on July 13th-14th, with more than 450,000 guests and food from over 50 restaurants.
Beginning Sunday, February 17th, anyone ages 13 and older can submit their original design that best conveys the feel and flavor of the Taste of Buffalo. There will be two age categories -- 13 to 18 years and 19+.
2019 Taste Chair Matthew Testa says, "We're always excited to see the many entries that are submitted each year. Buffalo is made up of so many talented artists and we love that the Taste of Buffalo is another way to highlight the creativity of Western New Yorkers."
Submissions will be accepted until March 22nd and a cash prize of $500 will be awarded in each of the two age categories. A grand prize winner will be chosen from the two finalists and will receive an additional $500. Their artwork will also become the official 2019 Taste of Buffalo poster used in marketing materials.
