NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Niagara County SPCA says Joey, a 3-year-old dog, that spent more than 500 days at the shelter has finally found a "forever home."

Joey was previously given a chance at a home but was returned shortly after.

The shelter says 3-year-old Joey is sweet and mellow, he loves treats, toys, giving kisses and going on walks, but doesn't like other dogs and cats.

Joey's story was shared often by the Niagara SPCA recently.

"Five hundred days is way too long for any dog to be at a shelter and the SPCA is hoping the community will help spread the word to change Joey’s life for the better," the Niagara SPCA said back in June.
