CITY OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — City of Tonawanda police say officers responded to three separate incidents of trucks striking bridges this week.
The first incident occurred Wednesday, January 20 around 5:30 p.m. when a tractor trailer struck the Young Street bridge.
The second incident occurred Thursday, January 21 around 12:30 pm when a Penske box truck struck the CSX overpass on East Niagara Street (by the Canal).
The third incident occurred Saturday, January 23 around 4 a.m. when a tractor trailer struck the Young Street bridge.
Police say in all three crashes there were no injuries or damage to the overpasses. The drivers were issued summons for not being on a designated truck route.
