TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — During a Town of Tonawanda board meeting Monday evening, it was discussed that Police Chief Jerome Uschold III will be retiring.
Town Supervisor Joe Emminger informed the public that Chief Uschold gave his intention to the town board to retire. He also clarified that Chief Uschold did not resign.
It is unclear exactly when it will happen, however, Supervisor Emminger mentioned during the meeting that the chief will retire "as soon as possible."
Supervisor Emminger tells 7 Eyewitness News that he met with Chief Uschold Monday morning on a “personnel matter” and he is not at liberty to discuss personnel matters.
No reason was provided for the chief's retirement.
