TOWN OF LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says two individuals were arrested for allegedly using counterfeit money.

33-year-old Bongwe Ntuli of New York City and 36-year-old Alicia Bailey of Buffalo were arrested Wednesday after the sheriff's office received complaints from four stores and fast food restaurants on South Transit Road in Lockport that the individuals were passing counterfeits bills.

Ntuli and Bailey were held for centralized arraignment at the Niagara County Jail and later released. They are charged with two counts each of criminal possession of forged instrument in the first degree and have future court dates in both the Town Courts of Lockport and Pendleton.
