BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — When it comes to romance, there are two Western New York spots that can say they are the best. That’s because OpenTable, a restaurant review website, listed them in their top 100 romantic eateries in the country.
One is Ristorante Lombardo.
“We make all the pasta by hand,” said Thomas Lombardo, a part owner.
“For a romantic evening for just the two of you. We can nail that,” said Lombardo.
The intimate setting in North Buffalo is booked up for this Valentine's Day, unless you want to get on the waiting list.
Lombardo says you'll love their food, but it's the wine selection that will keep you coming back. He takes pride in providing the best experience, whether it's a romantic one, or not.
“It could be one of the toughest nights we've ever had. If we're good at what we do. You would never know it,” added Lombardo.
Also on OpenTable's list is Russell's Steaks, Chops and More on Transit Road. While Russell Salvatore insists a great Valentine’s Day means a great meal, he believes a romantic meal comes down to a nice ambiance.
There are 600 reservations for his restaurant on Valentine's Day. For the best experience, he gives his staff some simple advice.
“The easiest thing in the world is to be nice and make the people feel very comfortable and relaxed when they come in the door,” said Salvatore.
