AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — Following an arrest on domestic violence charges, Dylan McDuffie has been suspended from the UB football team. The redshirt freshman running back was arrested by University Police Saturday evening.
The alleged victim's name is being withheld for privacy and safety. She is not a UB student.
"Whenever there is a serious violation of our program's code of conduct, we will take immediate action to address the situation, with the understanding that the University and law enforcement has a process that must be respected and followed," head coach Lance Leipold said in a statement. "Domestic violence will not be tolerated."
McDuffie has 23 carries on the season for 150 yards in addition to three receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown. The UB football team is scheduled to play in the Bahamas Bowl on December 20th.
