NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Aquarium of Niagara closed to the public one month ago in response to the coronavirus pandemic, but its animals are still cared for each day by staff at the facility.
The staff is coming up with new ways to make sure the animals are having a good time. Shortly after closing, they took some of the animals outside of their home exhibits to go visit each other.
Two Humboldt penguins, DJ and Tux, stopped by the sea lion exhibit. Then Mia, a 10-year-old California sea lion, checked in on the penguins.
Since this tour happened, the aquarium tells us they are no longer bringing animals out of exhibits as a precautionary measure. You can find out more about the aquarium and its animals here.
