CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Erie County officials gave a Wednesday morning storm update, going over over how county workers are responding to keep roads as clear as possible. Here's a breakdown of that update:
- Officials are asking you to stay home as crews plow the roads. Erie County leaders say that crews have responded to many accidents to overnight.
- Erie County Leaders say there are about 40 vehicles including plows out on the roads right now.
- Officials are reminding neighbors with high efficiency furnaces to clear the outside vents of snow.

- Strong winds off of Lake Erie have contributed to flooding along the shores of Lake Erie and portions of the Niagara River.
