BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Beginning this Saturday, Wegmans will hold a drive-thru flu shot clinic outside its store on Amherst Street in Buffalo.
You can get your flu shot between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
“Flu clinics with Wegmans are part of our community’s proactive efforts to minimize the impact of flu on our health care system this fall and winter. Make the time this fall to get vaccinated so that you have a level of protection against this disease,” said Erie County Commissioner of Health Dr. Gale Burstein. “This is especially important if you are a caregiver or have people in your life who are at a higher risk for complications from the flu. Influenza can cause serious complications for people with chronic health conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure, older people, very young children and pregnant women.”
All customers are required to wear a mask in their vehicle as they approach a Pharmacy associate for their flu shot.
You don't need an appointment or prescription, and in most cases, the fee is covered in full by insurance.
Wegmans is also holding a drive-thru flu shot clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 17th at its store on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Amherst.
