RICHMOND, Va. (WKBW) — As thousands of pro-gun rights activists converged around the Virginia Capitol on Monday, a Western New York man is front and center.
Brandon Lewis of Bergen went to Virginia to "send a strong message," according to The Washington Post.
Lewis, armed with a 50-caliber Barrett M82A1 rifle, nearly five-feet long told reporters that he and his wife own a shooting range in Bergen, traveling to Richmond saying, "the government is not above us. They are us."
Protesters are gathering to voice opposition to gun control legislation proposed by the Democratic-held legislature.
