TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Someone wants to buy the old Huntley Plant. But who is it?
NRG won't say, according to Town of Tonawanda supervisor Joseph Emminger. But company officials did inform the town that a letter of intent to buy the now-shuttered power plant has been entered into.
"It is still very early in the process but it obviously is a very important step," Emminger said.
The town held a hearing on possible eminent domain proceedings at the site Monday night. News of a buyer had no impact on the hearing, Emminger said.
