(WKBW) — The Western New York Land Conservancy says it has raised enough money to purchase Mossy Point.
"Thanks to you, the Friends of Mossy Point, everyone who donated, and the entire Western New York community, we met our $1.6 million dollar goal to save Mossy Point," Western New York Land Conservancy Executive Director Nancy Smith said in an email.
Mossy Point is located just outside of East Aurora In between Kenneglenn Nature preserve and Hunter's Creek County Park.
The organization says it will build a new trail system, have cross country skiing trails, and keep many homes for wildlife. According to Smith, WNY Land Conservancy will finish purchasing the property in the spring.
