WNY Pennysavers to shut down at the end of 2019 after 58 years

ELMA, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Western New York staple for nearly six decades with shut down before the beginning of 2020.

After 58 years, the publishing company for WNY Pennysavers will stop its productions, as advertisers move away from printed papers.

RW Publications will stop publishing WNY Pennysavers in the following locations:

  • Akron/Corfu
  • East Aurora/Elma
  • Hamburg
  • Orchard Park
  • West Seneca

In addition, the Warsaw branch of the Pennysaver will take over the Attica branch.
