WNY students compete for spot in Scripps National Spelling Bee

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A group of students from Western New York are competing for a spot in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Falk School students took part Thursday in the school's annual spelling bee. The winner heads to Rochester for the state competition. From there, the best spellers will get a chance to compete in Washington, D.C. at the National Spelling Bee.

The Falk School is a state-approved special day school that provides programs for kids with special needs.
