NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — North Tonawanda police say a woman is in custody following an alleged robbery Wednesday.
The alleged robbery occurred around 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Walgreens Pharmacy at 1066 Payne Avenue.
Police say following an initial investigation it was determined a woman with blonde hair entered the store with what appeared to be a weapon in her hand covered with a black plastic bag and allegedly demanded the pharmacist give her all the Suboxone they had.
She then left the store with several boxes of Suboxone and told the pharmacist not to call for help, according to police.
Police say items were located in the surrounding area that were allegedly used to commit the crime.
45-year-old Kelly McCabe of North Tonawanda was identified as the suspect, she was taken into custody on July 17.
McCabe faces the following charges:
Robbery in the second degree
Grand Larceny in the fourth degree
Menacing in the second degree
Criminal Possession of a weapon in the fourth degree
She is scheduled to be arraigned July 20 and is currently being held without bail.
