BUFFALO, NY (WKBW-TV) — Planted in the shadow of Buffalo's industrial past is a sweet spot called the Wonder Coffeehouse.

Owner Kate Vacanti says "It's exciting down here, most of our history is down here. The grain elevators are what made Buffalo a boom town."

The coffeehouse opened last December. According to Kate business was gangbusters for the first few months until the COVID crisis shut everything down. Open now, they are welcoming back customers and friends they met before the pandemic as well as new ones.

Their coffee is from a local Lockport roaster. Wonder Coffeehouse features a unique liege waffle that comes in large and small. The sweet pastry that Kate describes as a "waffle doughnut" comes plain or with great toppings and fun names. Two of their best sellers are "Millennial Fuel" and "I mean...DUH".

They sell coffee mugs and t-shirts and other merch. You can find more information about The Wonder Coffeehouse on Facebook and at their website
