BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — If your car is buried in snow from this week's blizzard, there is a way to get out of clearing it yourself.

Today at 6 a.m. a new app called Yeti launched in Buffalo. The Boston based app provides snow shoveling on demand for the city of Buffalo through the app.

People can download the Yeti app and request a "Yeti" (person to come clear and shovel out your car) kinda like a ride sharing app. The Yeti will take pictures before and after the shoveling and is paid by linking their bank account. Depending on the conditions and the amount of snow, the price is calculated accordingly. Prices can range from $25 to $45 per car. To learn more about Yeti, click here.

Founder Chris Barry says he is happy with the amount of new users to the app today and is excited for the amount of people that signed up for the job.

He wrote-- You Buffalo folk must be from hardy stock, it seems everyone's happy to go out and shovel their own car.

He adds, the team has worked out the kinks and will be ramping up marketing for the next big storm. In the next week his team plans to update the app to add sidewalk and driveway orders.
