BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The average price for a gallon of gas in Buffalo dropped to under $2.20, while prices nationally are increasing.
According to AAA of Western and Central New York, the average price for a gallon of gas stands at $2.19 in Buffalo, down two cents from last week, and down to $2.20 in Batavia, a one cent decrease from last week.
Nationally the average price for a gallon of gas increased three cents from last week to $1.88.
Right now the average price for a gallon of gas in New York state is $2.16, an increase of one cent from the prior week.
AAA says as regions across New York begin to reopen, the demand for gas will increase, resulting in prices going up.
