BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — While the rest of country is seeing gas prices increase, Western New Yorkers may feel some relief at the pump.
Gas prices in Buffalo are now averaging $2.54 per gallon, a two cent decrease from last week, while the average gallon of gas in Batavia is down to $2.59 from $2.60 this time last week.
By contrast, the national average is up three cents from last week at $2.47 a gallon.
AAA of Western and Central New York says the increased travel during the mid-winter school break resulted in the spike.
