Gas prices drop to $2 per gallon nationally; fall in Western New York

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Gas prices across the country and in Western New York are continuing to drop due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Right now, the average price for a gallon of gas nationwide is $2, a 13-cent drop from last week.

You'll be paying less that the pump in Western New York as well.

The average price for a gallon of gas in Buffalo is down four cents this week to $2.37, while in Batavia gas is three cents lower at $2.42 per gallon.

AAA of Western and Central New York says these national gas prices are the lowest since 2016.
