On Saturday November 2nd from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Basil Ford on Walden Avenue, Cheektowaga, ACV Auctions is teaming up with Basil Family Dealerships to offer a unique, one-day opportunity to have your vehicles inspected by ACV Auctions and then placed in a live nationwide auction for auto dealers.
If you accept the final bid, Basil will acquire your vehicle and give you a check. Just make sure to bring your title and keys with you. It is also a good idea to make sure your vehicle is cleaned.
ACV Auctions won the the 2015 43North competition and took home the $1 million grand prize. It now has close to 1,000 employees across the country.
CEO's for ACV Auctions developed a cell phone app that allowed auto dealers to view and bid on used cars during a live 20 minute auction.
ACV inspects the vehicle's condition, posts the condition report online, runs the nationwide auction, and handles the details concerning the transfer of ownership and the vehicle.
For auto dealers, it makes purchasing used vehicles much more efficient as the dealer no longer has to physically go to auto auctions.
For customers, it helps get a better trade-in value because the vehicles are bid on by dealers across the country.
ACV Auctions normally only works with auto dealers but Saturday's event at Basil Ford offers anyone the chance to get the true "market value" of their vehicle.
