BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Salvation Army is hoping to make the Halloween season less scary for your budget.
In fact, most of the costumes you find will be under $20, so how big of a savings can it be?
"It's a great place to find costumes or accessories and with all the do it yourself and Pinterest and those sites," said Salvation Army Captain Andrew Ferreira. "People find a lot of things they can adapt."
For example, you can find a Super Mario costume, that's cleaned and ready to go for just $6.99.
Looking to buy it at a big box store? You could pay as much as $49.99.
What about a brand new fairy costume ranging from $20-$35. At the Salvation Army it'll cost just $4.99.
How about rounding out the family by transforming your newborn into a king! The competitors are selling them for $20; at the Salvation Army? Just $5.99.
You can find costumes for the whole family all for $18.
"For very small kids there is infant clothing and there's a full range of adult clothing as well," Ferreira said.
But it's not just pre-designed costumes. You can make plenty of costumes from the Salvation Army's racks of clothes, all on an incredible budget.
