The man arrested in connection with a house fire on East High Street - the sane address where a woman's body was found after a previous fire less than a month ago - has been charged with arson
Caleb Bell Jr., 34, was arraigned at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in Lockport City Court and pled not guilty to the charge.
Bell Jr. is scheduled for a felony hearing on Monday, November 14 at 9:30 a.m. Due to having two prior felonies, he is being held without bail until then.
The woman whose body was found in the previous fire, Holly Seiler, was Bell Jr.'s mother. His father, Seiler's ex-husband, was in court Wednesday morning and rushed out.
The father was visibly upset and tearful. He was at a loss for words.
"I don't know what to say," said Bell Jr.'s father. "A lot has happened."
