A Belfast man will serve two to six years in prison for the crash that killed his four year-old son.
Prosecutors say Kevin McCabe, 32, slammed his pick-up truck into the back of a tractor-trailer on Route 16 in Sardinia in October 2015.
McCabe's son, Tristan, was sitting next to his father in the front seat and was not properly restrained in a child safety seat. He later died of his injuries.
McCabe was convicted of second-degree manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child.
McCabe's niece, Katherine, was also sitting in the front seat. She suffered a broken leg. ring the welfare of a child in September.
