A Gasport man accused of killing his six-month-old son turned himself in Monday afternoon.
Niagara County Sheriff's Office says Dillon Hossbach, 25, is charged with second degree murder and first and second degree manslaughter for the death of his son William "Liam" Hossbach.
"Based on the 911 call, there was something suspicious from the beginning," said Captain Bruce Elliott of the Niagara County Sheriff's Office. "The death did appear to be suspicious and did not coincide with what the father of the child was telling us," he said.
Police say Hossbach had split custody with the baby's mother and the baby was home alone with Dylan when he died.
Deputies say Hossbach is accused of his son's death on February 21, 2016 in Medina and turned himself in to Niagara County Court.
Hossbach is being held at $40,000/$80,000 bail.
Deputies would not go into detail about the infants death other than to say it was "traumatic."
