A man who drove his car into a ditch in North Collins is facing felony charges after police say he was driving drunk.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office says Jeremiah Bednarek drove his car into a ditch on New Oregon Road around 6:00 p.m. December 1st.  The deputy who responded said Bednarek failed a number of field sobriety tests.  The Sheriff's Office also says Bednarek's driving privileges were suspended, he had a previous DWI within 10 years, and he was required to have an interlock device on his car, which he didn't have.

Bednarek is charged with felony DWI, felony unlicensed operation, and a misdemeanor charge for not having an interlock device.  Police say he also has an outstanding DWI warrant from Chautauqua County.

Bednarek was taken to the Erie County Holding center before he was arraigned December 2nd.
