Saturday morning in Roosevelt Plaza, Mayor Byron Brown, Melissa Brown from the Buffalo History Museum and Steven Carmina from Buffalo Place Inc. made a formal announcement regarding the completion of the downtown outdoor history project.

The project is a 10 sign outdoor exhibit featuring 200 years of Buffalo’s Main Street history on three central city blocks. The Buffalo History Museum will hold monthly tour activities focused on these blocks.

The 3-year project that involved contributions from many organizations and volunteers is now ready to be counted among the city’s Cars Sharing Main Street project.

Downtown docent-led sign tours are planned for “Second Saturdays” in July, August, and September.

Following the announcement the community was invited to celebrate Downtown History Day with open tours of Main St.
