BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Memorial Day weekend brought airports their longest lines in months.

Some 350,000 travelers went through the nation's airports, according to TSA.

The most in one day since March 22nd.

Still, this is significantly less travelers than years prior.

For Memorial Day weekend in 2019, the agency reported more than 2.9 million fliers.

Overall, in 2019 43 million people traveled for Memorial Day weekend according to AAA's annual Memorial Day travel report. This was the second highest level the company recorded since they began counting travelers in 2000.

This year, however, the number was so low, AAA said they could not make an accurate guess.

According to a Harris Poll, half of Americans surveyed are holding off on any non-business travel until 2021.
