Every detail during Wednesday's remembrance ceremony embraced what Kelsey Annese and Matt Hutchinson meant to their college, SUNY Geneseo.
For more than an hour we heard stories from those who knew Annese and Hutchinson best.
Both were admired for their commitment to athletics. Kelsey was the captain of the girls basketball team. Hutchinson played ice hockey.
The two were targeted in an apparent double-murder suicide by Annese's ex-boyfriend, Colin Kingston. The bodies of all three were discovered in a home near campus last weekend.
Counselors will be on hand all night and through the remainder of the semester.
