Mom, small business owner and student: How one Buffalo woman is doing it all

She's a first time business owner at just 23-years-old.  Aside from running her meal prep business--Millie Meals--Cassie Militello is also a radiology student and most importantly, a mom to a five-year-old.

"I'm doing this all for her and hopefully I'm an inspiration to her to work hard," she said.

Militello's business was born from her passion to cook.  Moving from her kitchen to her Abbott Street location in South Buffalo just two months ago.  She started school the same week she opened her doors.

"This was never in my plans. It kind of just happened," she said.  Affordable, healthy and convenient--those are the three things she hopes to provide her two dozen or so weekly customers when it comes to their personalized meal prep.

"To eat healthy, it's hard sometimes, but this makes it convenient."  Every week customers can order in person, over the phone or online and choose their meals for the week from one of five menus that changes.

As for juggling it all-- "I hope I can grow and hopefully I'll need a bigger space soon."
