BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — More changes are coming due to COVID-19 concerns, this time impacting Feedmore WNY and Erie County residents.

On March 17th, Erie County is temporarily closing their congregate sites in Erie County until further notice marking Monday, the 16th, as the final day to receive a meal at one of the many sites listed on the Erie County senior services website. With the closures, those who normally dine through the congregate sites are being offered the opportunity to be served meals though the home delivery meal program through Feedmore WNY with the traditional sign-up fee being waived. Currently, Feedmore WNY serves 4,000 people through the home delivery service.

With the prepared influx of home deliveries, Feedmore WNY needs additional volunteers to either help deliver meals, sort food in the warehouse, and even donate food or time. Those wishing to volunteer can contact Feedmore WNY at 716-822-2002. You can also visit their website at www.feedmorewny.org.
