Video catches drivers running stop sign

A video posted to the Parkside Community Association's Facebook page shows car after car blowing through stop signs on Greenfield Street in North Buffalo.

The video was shot by a neighbor in the area, who says cars do this every day between the hours of 7-9a.m.

"We don't want any unnecessary accident just because you're in a hurry to get to work," said Brent Patterson, who lives on Greenfield and shot the video.

Patterson is concerned that people are doing this in a residential neighborhood, where kids are often waiting for the bus and outside playing.

The Parkside Community Association stands by Patterson's findings.

"I think we expect the same courtesy as any other neighborhood," said Amber Small, Executive Director of the organization. "We understand this is a big city, it's a big community and so what we're looking for is people to be respectful when they're driving by."

The organization is urging people to to take video if you see anything illegal or out of the ordinary.

7 Eyewitness News reached out to the Buffalo Police Department to see if they've had any complaints about this intersection. A department spokesperson says they're looking into it.
