There is a new restaurant coming to downtown Buffalo where ordering will be as easy as the tap of a screen. Waves Restaurant is settling into the former Papaya at 118 W. Chippewa Street where customers will use self ordering tablets to access the menu.
Owner Michael Nguyen tells 7EWN that Waves will serve well known dishes from Vietnam, Thailand and Japan and will feature a full bar. Nguyen says customers will also have an all-you-can-eat menu where lunch will be $18.99 and dinner will be $28.99. Everything can be ordered digitally from the table.
The restaurant is currently undergoing renovations. Nguyen says while the structure of the restaurant won't change there will be upgrades to the paint and flooring.
Waves will seat between 100-120 customers. The hope is that the restaurant opens in May.
