Members of the military using the Buffalo/Niagara International Airport will soon have a place to call their own.
The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority in conjunction with the non-profit group WNY Freedom Lounge will set up a special area for members of the military to catch a break while they are coming and going through the airport.
The 500 square foot facility will be set up within the next two to three months, on the east side of the baggage claim area on the airport lower level. The room will be staffed by local veterans and volunteers and will provide military members and their families with a place to relax as they wait for their flights.
