A 57-year-old Niagara Falls man is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle Friday afternoon.
Niagara Falls Police say the hit and run happened around 3:15 p.m. near 24th Street and Independence Avenue.
Police describe the vehicle as a large SUV or pickup truck. The vehicle is believed to have fled southbound toward Pine Avenue.
The victim was taken to Erie County Medical Center with serious injuries.
