On Friday, Buffalo Police wrapped up weeks of narcotics raids in the Lovejoy-Kaisertown area by arresting nine people.

The police also recovered a handgun and seized narcotics ranging from marijuana to heroin to crack cocaine on Friday morning, during the 15 search warrants that were executed.

The raids were the culmination of Buffalo Police and the community working together over the last several months.

Overall police announced 15 arrests during the operation in Lovejoy and Kaisertown over the last three weeks.

During one search warrant executed on Oberlin Avenue, authorities arrested five people, recovered two guns that police say were stolen from Las Vegas and seized crack cocaine.

Buffalo Police were assisted by the DEA, Amherst Police, Town of Tonawanda Police and Erie County Sheriff’s Office. Further arrests are pending.
