Skaters gathered at Canalside in downtown Buffalo Saturday, trying to break the Guiness world record for the biggest ice line.
They didn't break the record, but the event also acted as a fundraiser for the Make a Wish Foundation in Western New York. A young man named Nathan, who is battling brain cancer, led the procession on an ice bike.
This event attracted about 150 people. The world record is 370, which was set in London.
The organizer plans to try again next year.
The ice line kicked off a whole holiday weekend full of events taking place at Canalside.
