New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the suspension of non-essential road and bridge construction projects on New York State highways.
The suspension is to accommodate for an increase in traffic on the roads this Memorial Day weekend. The suspension will go into place this Friday, starting at 6 a.m. and last until Tuesday, May 29 at 6 a.m.
According to the American Automobile Association (AAA), more than 40 million Americans will travel this Memorial Day weekend.
