NYSEG and National Grid crews are now working to restore power to more than 20,000 customers across Western New York who lost power due to the high winds that blew through Wednesday.
The utilities have both had crews out since Wednesday night, and as of Thursday morning, little progress was made.
NYSEG Outage Central is reporting 15,977 customers without power, most of which are in Erie County.
And National Grid Outage Central has 4,369 customers listed without power. Those outages are spread across Niagara, Genesee and Orleans counties.
No word yet on how long it could take for all NYSEG and National Grid customers to have power again.
