Kids sometimes have a hard time managing their feelings, but a new class in Clarence hopes to help your little ones be in control of their behavior.
Lizzie's Little Yogis is a brand new studio in Clarence, celebrating its opening on the first of October. Kids will use yoga, meditation, art, reading and music all in the same class! Classes are open to kids aged two to eight. For kids two to four years old, adult participation is required.
"Kids actually get very stressed, they don't know how to handle it. They have school, they have sports, they have friends and things going on and they don't learn how to express themselves in a healthy way and it comes out in negative behavior," says owner Elizabeth Blinkoff.
Blinkoff started the studio after seeing how her own son benefited from yoga sessions with her. "He was doing it with me and I saw this great impact on his body awareness but I wanted more than that," says Blinkoff.
She incorporates educational elements into her 45-minute yoga sessions because of her background in teaching, counseling, behavioral management and yoga.
Your kids will leave a class with skills to improve their strength, compassion, confidence, self-awareness, concentration, gratitude and so much more. As an added benefit they'll be less anxious and stressed!
The studio is located at 8645 Roll Road, Clarence Center 14032.
