An Orchard Park man will serve one year of probation after he assaulted a woman by grabbing her groin area without consent on an airplane.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, 50-year-old Michael Hildebrand assaulted Katie Campos on a United Airlines flight from Newark, New Jersey, to Buffalo.
Campos issued this statement to 7 Eyewitness News on the sentencing:
“I feel really grateful that the U.S. Attorneys office took it so seriously, advocated for a tough but reasonable sentence and brought greater awareness. What he did was awful, and the impact on me has been more intense and negative than I expected. I’m glad he was brought to justice.”
