A Buffalo man is charged with three counts of Animal Cruelty, after three adult dogs and eight puppies in his care were found covered in fleas, and dehydrated.
An Animal Cruelty Investigator with The Erie County SPCA says Timothy Strobele owned the dogs that were rescued and signed over to the organization.
The dogs had to be rushed to the SPCA from their home on Sage Avenue to have fleas removed, get fluids and take baths. One puppy that is about five-weeks-old was found in critical condition, and oxygen had to be administered.
SPCA invstigators say Strobele deprived the dogs of veterinary care. The two female adult dogs, one male adult dog, two 10-week-old puppies and six five-week-old puppies will continue to be treated at the SPCA.
Strobele will appear in Buffalo City Court to answer to the charges. None of the dogs is available for adoption yet.
