A new advanced manufacturing P-TECH Academy is kicking off this fall in Orchard Park, with a program they say will help local companies grow.
Officials from the Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Board of Cooperative Educational Services announced the new program today at Orchard Park.
The P-TECH Academy will open enrollment to 8th grade students in the spring and help them get a Regents or Associates Degree of Occupational Studies from Alfred State University.
Students in the multi-year program will also get hands-on experience with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and get direction from specialized educators and industry leaders.
