A flight crew alerted the Buffalo Niagara International Airport to have crash fire and rescue standing by over ice concerns.

US Air Flight 3994 coming from Washington, D.C. landed safely around 3:45 p.m. Monday. None of the 48 passengers were injured.

The crew was worried about ice buildup on the plane. Ice buildup along with pilot error was determined to be the cause of crash Flight 3407 in Clarence Center in 2009.

The plane had been scheduled to leave Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport at 10:30 a.m. but left two hours late. It was due to arrived around noon but landed more than three and a half hours late.
