Police arrest two men for shots fired from stolen gun

Buffalo Police arrested two people in connection with a call for shots fired late Tuesday night.

Central District officers responded to the call after 11:30 p.m. around Hudson Street and Whitney Place.

Police believe four shots may have been fired into the air.

Police say the two suspects tried to run away from officers, but were arrested shortly after.

Officers say they found the fun in a backyard in the 200 block of Whitney Place. They say the gun appears to have been stolen.

A bullet was found in the coat pocket of one of the defendants, according to police.

Police say they arrested Jonathon Johnson, 35, and charged him with criminal possession of a loaded firearm, criminal possession of stolen property, reckless endangerment and obstruction of governmental administration.

Officers say they also arrested Alex Laboy, 21, and charged him with obstruction.
