Police have arrested two people in connection with last week's drive-by shooting that prompted Hamburg Police to issue a Code Red Alert.
Both 22-year-old Louis Rivera and 19-year-old Christian Vargas surrendered themselves to police Monday morning. Buffalo Peacemakers and Rev. James Jiles assisted in helping both suspects surrender.
Last week, police were called to Center Street in Lackawanna where they say gunshots were fired. Town of Hamburg Police issued a shelter in place alert Tuesday for neighbors living along Lake Avenue and Abbott Road the area after a search for 'possibly armed and dangerous' individuals.
Rivera and Vargas are charged with criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment. They will be arraigned in Lackawanna City Court by a city court judge later Monday.
