A concerned citizen tipped off deputies to a man they say was drinking beer behind the wheel of his parked car in the Wal-Mart parking lot.
Officers responded to the Warsaw store shortly before noon on Saturday and followed Daniel Hamilton as he drove out of the parking lot. Deputies pulled the 48-year-old Castile resident over when he committed a traffic infraction on Old Buffalo Road.
After reportedly failing field sobriety tests, Hamilton was arrested for DWI. A test reportedly revealed his BAC to be .20 percent.
Hamilton is charged with aggravated DWI, DWI, DWI with a .08 BAC or higher and an obstructed rear plate.
He is due back in court in January.
