Town of Tonawanda police are investigating the death of an elderly woman, found dead by a passerby, early Friday morning.
Police say the woman was found "cold to the touch" when police arrived at the Colvin Avenue scene, about 6:40 a.m.
A driver told police they saw someone laying on the ground near 2410 Colvin Avenue, when they called for help. Police arrived a short time later to find the woman in the grass.
Police are still actively investigating this unidentified woman's death.
The circumstances surrounding the woman's death are unclear.
