A family was horrified Saturday to discover their 10-month-old puppy had been shot and killed, right in their own backyard.
The family tells 7 Eyewitness News that their Shepherd Husky mix puppy, named Blu, was shot with a 12-gauge shotgun.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office says the case has been transferred to the state Department of Environmental Conservation and the SPCA, and their investigation continues.
